Summer is almost here and it’s time to start planning what events you are going to be taking part in.  Pittsburgh is great city to visit for cultural, art, concerts, food and many other events.  Below are few of things that we think are worth checking out if you are in Pittsburgh this summer.

Three Rivers Arts Festival

This 10 day festival of the arts brings you live music, arts, crafts, and good food.  It’s held in Point State Park in downtown.  This years festivals starts this weekend and is always a good time.

Duquesne Incline

A trip on the Duquesne Incline will take you to one the best views in Pittsburgh via an old cable car.  It is one of the few remaining inclines in the country.

Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium

If you are looking for something that is fun for the whole family look no further than the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.  The zoo is home to over 400 animals; including 22 threatened or endangered species.

Pittsburgh is home to many museums.  The Carnegie Museums, Children’s Museum, The Andy Warhol Museum, and the Heinz History Center are all great places to visit when you need to get out of the house, but want to stay out of the heat.

With quite a few concert venues in and around the city, Pittsburgh is able to host a variety of concerts.  We get artists ranging from local performers to Top 40 artists to classics.  There is bound to be something for everyone!

Whether you are spending the summer in the City of Bridges or just stopping in for a visit you will far from bored!  Your next opportunity to get and experience what Pittsburgh has to offer might just be the one keeps you coming back.
