Something New is Coming to Sinful Sweets

We are all familiar with chocolate flavored liquors and liqueurs, but here at Sinful Sweets Chocolate Company we are ready to turn the tables and infuse our chocolates with rum, bourbon, and whiskey. Look for the new items below  to be coming soon to our chocolate store.

Rum Balls are similar to truffles and are a sweet, dense confection flavored with chocolate and rum.  Rum balls are generally the size of a golf ball and can be coated in chocolate sprinkles, shredded coconut or cocoa.  This sweet treat does contain rum, which is not lost in the process as they are not baked. They are very popular during the holiday season, and can be found in England, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, as well as other areas of Europe.  Recipes for them vary by geographic region, with the main ingredients of rum and chocolate being present in all versions.

Bourbon Balls are another no-bake treat made from a mixture of crushed vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, cocoa, and chopped nuts.  They are held together with a small amount of corn syrup and bourbon.  Just like the bourbon they are made with, Bourbon balls only get better with age.  You will find variations to the recipes for bourbon balls in the type of cookies, nuts or cocoa used.  Bourbon Balls are a Southern favorite and are often dipped in chocolate.

Whiskey Flavored Chocolate. Yes, you read that correctly.  We are bringing this hard hitting taste to our premium chocolates.  Alcohol-based or -infused chocolates have been favorites in Europe for many years.  Chocolate pairs well with many flavors and can be flavored with extracts, liqueurs, or flavored oils.  Our chocolate will be flavored with whiskey to create a sinful, yet sweet and complex variation to our normal offerings.

Enjoy our new creations and remember these fun treats aren’t just for holidays!

I have not seen these heavenly creations for a long time. I prefer them to be rolled in chopped nuts and chocolate. They sound fantastic! Yum yum.
