Fruit pies, such as cherry, blueberry, and strawberry are also often served on this day.  Homemade desserts tend to be the favorites, so this year why not opt for a variety of fruit flavored creams. Your guests will surely be eager to try the different flavors you can offer without having to splurge on multiple plates of pie.

Another option that is served at Thanksgiving is pecan pie.  This sweet option is the perfect cure for your sweet tooth.  Not committed to having a whole pecan pie?  Pecan clusters are a great substitute and allows you to provide a great option without overdoing it.  It’s hard to say no to the sweet combination of pecans, caramel and chocolate.

Chocolate pie is a less traditional option, but still can be found on many Thanksgiving Day dessert tables.  Chocolate is an American favorite and can be added to the spread easily in forms other than pie.
